Of course we prefer to cook our ribs low and slow outside but sometimes that’s not possible and we all get cravings. You’ll be amazed at the flavor that you can create with this recipe.
Balsamic St Louis Ribs - Oven Baked
If you're not a die hard Pit Smoker but love BBQ Ribs or even if it's the dead of Winter, you can still have that great flavor while staying warm inside.

Ingredients
- 1 Rack of St. Louis Style Pork Ribs
- 2 Tbs All Purpose BBQ Rub
- 1/2 cup Balsamic BBQ Sauce (Any flavor can be used)
- 1 Cup Apple Juice
- 2 TBS Liquid Smoke
Instructions
Prep
- The night before – Remove the membrane on the back of the ribs and rub both sides generously with All Purpose BBQ Rub. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
Cook
- Put ribs under a Broiler set to high for 5 minutes
- Heat Oven (or Outdoor Grill) to 300°
- Cook Ribs for 3.5 Hours (If you prefer lower heat, 225° for 5 Hours)
- Mix Apple Juice and Liquid Smoke into a spray bottle. Spray mixture on the Ribs approximately every 20 minutes to keep them moist.
- 30 Minutes before cooking time ends, brush BBQ sauce over Ribs.
