Chamomile is often sipped for relief of health problems ranging from toothache to nervousness. Chamomile has also been noted as beneficial for soothing headaches and is a natural relaxing herb known to assist the restless and those suffering from insomnia. In many circles Chamomile is called nighty night tea or sleepy tea on account of its natural properties, which promote restfulness and drowsiness. It is also known to assist digestive disorders by settling the stomach and calming the nerves.
It is believed that Rose petals infusion helps with digestion and as a tonic for the blood.
French Lavender from Provence has the ability to calm and focus the mind, release mental tension and clear away unwanted thoughts.? Overall, it is said to restore balance within the body and create a general feeling of well-being.
Spearmint is highly appreciated for its digestive properties and its ability to relieve nausea especially due to motion sickness. Quite often it is also used to find relief from headaches and tension. Inhaling the steam from a double strength infusion will help relieve nasal congestion. Mint tea can also be used in compresses to soothe itching and inflammation. In the olden days, some doctors claimed mint was an effective aphrodisiac. In the book – The Taste of Morocco, Robert Carrier notes that mint tea is used to cure insomnia, calm the nerves, sharpen the senses and wake up those who are drowsing. As with any herb, if you begin ‘taking it’ for medicinal reasons, you should do so in tandem with a doctor’s consultation.
Modern herbalists consider Linden to be an antispasmodic, a sedative remedy that can relieve tension and sinus pressure. The plant contains tannins, volatile oils and flavanoids that help improve circulation. It also has a mildly tranquilizing.
As you take your first sip, your tongue catches the fresh , fruity and floral character, transmitting the sensation throughout your body until your entire being is at peace!
Comforting the body, mind and soul amazing!!!
Hot tea brewing method:
Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 teaspoon of herbal tea, 1 tea bag or 1 Q3 single serve packet for each 7-9oz/200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot.
Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time, the better the flavor as more fruit and herb flavor is extracted). Garnish and sweeten to taste.
